Inputting product classification tags

Product classification tags help dispatchers handle products correctly by highlighting attributes like fragility or perishability. These tags ensure the warehouse knows how to properly store, handle, and ship each product in your inventory.

To add product classification tags you’ll need to open your product from the Product List by searching or filtering results.

Adding product classification tags

  1. Once you’ve opened your product, go to the Details page.

  1. Each product classification will show underneath the core product information. Current product classification tags include:

Category

Perishable

Products with expiration dates or limited shelf life

Fragile

Products requiring careful handling

Battery

Products containing batteries

Dangerous

Products with hazardous materials which require special handling

Organic

Products which are certified as being organic

Dutiable

Products subject to customs duties

Hygiene

Products which are for personal care or sanitary use

Do not split (DoQ)

Products which must not be separated as part of picking/despatch

Batch Codes

Items which are tracked by batch code or lot numbers

Caution: Some classification tags may affect shipping options and costs. For example products tagged as Battery or Dangerous may have restricted shipping methods

  1. Update any classification by clicking the pencil icon

  2. Then select Yes/No from the dropdown menu.

  1. Then click Confirm.
